I can't see any problems with that approach as far as I can tell, none is used as a place holder but '' works fine. I might modify the script in that case and remove the none. I will test it out. Thanks for the heads up. I haven't used rails yet so I am unaware of any issues that may arrise when javascript and rails are together. Thanks a lot for the feedback.

Excellent work! One quick question: I got around a spot of trouble where my Rails app was following invalid links by changing the ’src’ attribute of ‘portimage’ to ” instead of ‘none’ which seems to work. Can you forsee any problems with this approach?
